Individuals or organizations wishing to use Saskatchewan parks and Recreation Association Inc. (S.P.R.A.) documents must request permission to reproduce, distribute or utilize such documents. To use these documents, individuals and organizations must acknowledge and credit S.P.R.A. The email address attached to this document must be used to request S.P.R.A.'s permission for duplication of documents.

The Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Inc. (S.P.R.A.) owns all copyright to the slogan Recreation an Investment for Life and its graphic and icons. The following policy does not give any rights of ownership to any organization or individual however the S.P.R.A. is prepared to share its use in the following way:
Until further notice the Icons will be used exclusively by the S.P.R.A.
It must be noted that the slogan may be used as a stand alone, without the graphic. The graphic may not be used without including the slogan.
a) S.P.R.A. membership: all S.P.R.A. members have complete and unrestricted access to use the slogan/graphic in all their Saskatchewan endeavors to promote the positive lifestyle benefits of parks and recreation.
This accessibility does not include the use of the slogan/graphic for commercial use. Any commercial use, by our membership, will require written approval from the S.P.R.A.
b) Provincial counterparts in Saskatchewan: to include but not be limited to Sask Sport, SCCO, SUMA, and SCCD with the same policy which applies to the S.P.R.A. membership. However, the members of these partners, if they are not also members of S.P.R.A., will be required to obtain written approval from S.P.R.A.
c) Provincial counterparts outside of Saskatchewan: All provincial recreation and parks counterpart organizations in each province have permission to use the slogan/graphic with the following restrictions:
- the following credit be provided on all written and printed materials (ie: documents such as resource manuals, pamphlets, newsletters, newspapers, articles, books, etc.) Copyright of the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association Inc.
- the slogan/graphic may be used on promotional items that would result in the promotion of the benefits which may also result in some profit to the sponsoring non-profit organization. For example, T shirts, gym bags, cups etc. without the written credit on the item itself. Credit would be given in any promotional literature about the product.
- that permission to use the slogan and graphic is given in good faith and trust that our counterpart organizations will only use the graphic and slogan in a manner that reflects a positive image of the parks and recreation movement. If there is any doubt clarification must be obtained from the S.P.R.A. prior to usage.
- S.P.R.A. would request that samples of all usage of the slogan/graphic be presented to S.P.R.A. as a courtesy to our organization prior to release to respective memberships or the public.
- the conditions of this policy do not permit a provincial organization to market products using the Recreation: An Investment For Life slogan or graphic outside of that organizations provincial jurisdiction
- If a provincial organization wishes to adopt the Recreation: An Investment For Life slogan or graphic to be used within a provincial social marketing campaign, a special application to the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association will be required and terms of the agreement will be negotiated.
d) Private and commercial business outside of Saskatchewan: The slogan/ graphic is not intended to be used for commercial use. However, S.P.R.A. will consider individual requests from interested businesses and may wish to negotiate contract arrangements.
e) Commercial non-member: All private, non-profit, and business requests of a commercial nature will be negotiated on their own merit and must receive prior approval from S.P.R.A.
Appropriate Use of Documents:
Documents may be downloaded or printed (single copy only). You must not sell the
document or make a profit from reproducing it. You must not copy, extract, summarize or
distribute downloaded documents outside of your own organization in a manner which
competes with or substitutes for the distribution of the database by LIN.
