Volkssport is Walking

If social walking is your thing, then consider linking up with the St. Albert Trekkers, the local Volkssport Club. Volkssporting, translated from German is "the sport of the people" and these folks are out walking year round participating in guided walks, map walks or bigger walking events. They put on quite a few kilometers in a season and explore their local area as well as farther afield. Check out their event calendar for an amazing array of walks and events!

More Connections

As part of the twinning of 23rd Ave. over Whitemud Creek at Smith Crossing, a multi-use trail is being constructed connecting the top of bank communities on either side of the ravine from Hodgson Way to 119 St. There is also a new sidewalk being installed along 119 St. to 34 Ave.
