Advertising Policy
To further our mission of making current, reliable information available to professionals and volunteers, LIN accepts advertising and sponsorship under strict guidelines. We will refuse any advertisement that we believe is incompatible with our mission. The presence of an ad on our site, in our weekly e-bulletin or any of our email messages does not imply endorsement of the advertised company or product. Advertisers and sponsors must not make unsubstantiated claims or suggest that LIN has endorsed a product.
LIN maintains a distinct separation between advertising content and editorial content. Advertisers and sponsors do not influence our selection or presentation of content anywhere on the LIN site.
LIN has the sole discretion for determining the types of advertising that will be accepted and displayed on the site, and under no circumstances shall LIN’s acceptance of any advertisement be considered an endorsement of the product(s) or service(s) or for the company or persons that manufactures, distributes, or promotes such products or services.
LIN reserves the right to reject, cancel, or remove at any time any advertising from the site for any reason and will provide prompt notice to the advertiser upon rejection, cancellation, or removal, together with an explanation.
LIN reserves the right to determine the appropriate placement of the advertising on the LIN site.
It is the responsibility of the advertiser to comply with all domestic laws, including applicable laws & regulation or regulatory bodies.
No advertising shall be permitted which may injure the good name or reputation of LIN or the LIN website, or its' other participants.
