Circle Game - Drop It - Catch It
Equipment
1 ball
How to Play
Have the group stand in a circle with everyone facing the center. Players spread out, one arms length apart. One person is in the middle with a ball and passes it back and forth back and forth to the other players. Before tossing the ball to one of the players, the player in the middle with the ball must say “drop it” or “catch it”. The receiver must do the opposite of what he/she is being told to do. If the player in the center says “drop it”. Then the other player must catch it and vice versa. If they do the wrong motion, they must switch places with the person in the middle.

Circle games are easy to monitor, everyone is on equal ground (no front of back of the line), everyone can see and hear each other, and of course they are a lot of fun. Some traditional circle games are included in this resource but most of the games are new and original. Schools, camps, and other group settings are ideal for the many wonderful games found in this resource.
