Circle Game - Zip Zap

How to Play
This is another game that is fun to play in a camp and recreational setting or in
the last few minutes of a class.
Players
stand shoulder to shoulder in a circle with one player in the middle.
The middle player points to anyone in the
circle and says “Zip”: that player crouches to the floor and the players on
wither side reach over top, say “Zap” and double high five each other.
The middle player quickly continues to “zip”
players in the circle.
If a player makes
the wrong motion or crouches when they are not supposed to they go to the
middle.
Once the group has mastered the
“Zip”,
allow the player in the middle to
say wither “Zip” or “Zap”.
The players
on either side of the “zipped” or “zapped” player must say the opposite.

Circle games are easy to monitor, everyone is on equal ground (no front
of back of the line), everyone can see and hear each other, and of
course they are a lot of fun. Some traditional circle games are
included in this resource but most of the games are new and original.
Schools, camps, and other group settings are ideal for the many
wonderful games found in this resource.
