Catch - Group Activity
Objective
Players see how far they can throw a ball and catch the ball with a plastic bag
Players
Any number of players
Equipment
One plastic bag for each player and one tennis ball for each player/group
Set-Up
- Divide players into pairs/groups
- Give each player a plastic bag and each pair/group a tennis ball
Instructions
- Instruct players to throw and catch the ball with the plastic bag
- After each successful throw, players move apart
- Allow players to continue throwing in an attempt to improve their distance
- The pair/group which can throw and catch the farthest distance wins.
In a landfill, plastic bags take up to 1,000 years to degrade. As litter, they break down into tiny bits, contaminating our soil and water.
