stay bright UNLIT is a group of youth volunteers who primarily work on tobacco prevention with the local health unit. We work with a youth engagement framework and partnership that seeks to build skills and developmental assets. Bookface is the legacy we are most proud of. It is a youth led event that celebrates youth during the week of May 1-7th. It strives to create celebration and connectivity for youth, adults and the community. It is open to everyone in the community centrally located in the main town of Lindsay.

A week long celebration in Peterborough Ontario.There are so many exciting events that will happen May 1st to 7th in Peterborough as we celebrate National Youth Week 2015..

The Kick Off Event will be held on Friday May 1st at The Spill! Come join us from 4 until 8:00pm. This event is featuring a variety show that includes live music, a poetry slam, and skits. Come get creative, and have a great time with friends. It's free, and will be sure to start off National Youth Week with a bang! 

On Saturday May 2nd, come down to Confederation Park from 1 to 3pm and participate in the Litter-ly Art Project. This free initiative is brought to you by the Youth Council. Design and paint a garbage receptacle that will be placed in a City Park! Make sure you fill out the application by Friday April 24th 2015.

The Litter-ly Art Application is available at City Hall in the Recreation Division, by email [email protected] or call 705 742-7777 x1805.

Tuesday May 5th, 2015, join us at Confederation Park for a free festival. Games, food, crafts and fun. For furhter information contact  the Recreation Division at 705 742-7777 x 1836.
