Tossing of objects to engage the participants - Ice Breakers & Group Team-building Tasks
Courtesy of Alf Grigg
Concern
- Getting the participants to realize the importance of evaluation
Equipment
- A
ball with a smile on it, a ball with earth on it, rubber fish and a paper
mache covered light bulb available at dollar stores, novelty shops etc.
Process
During your
presentation, when the energy of the group seems low, toss them one of
the above objects. Be sure to warn them before hand. Toss a participant
a ball with a smile saying; "Toss me back a smile." To see if participants
can transfer the material into their own world, toss then a ball with the
world on it saying, "How does this fit into your world?" Looking
for ideas from the group? Toss someone a fish saying, "I am fishing
for ideas." Acknowledge a great idea by tossing a participant a paper
mache covered light bulb saying "What a great idea!"
