MEMBERSHIP
LIN has two categories of membership: Voting Members and Associate Members
Voting Members
Individuals who have or could make an important
contribution to the work of the Lifestyle Information Network and have a continuing interest in
its mission and purpose are invited by the Board to become Voting Members. LIN
is interested in involving new members and actively encourages people to
self-identify as potential Voting Members. Voting Members are invited as individuals rather
than as representatives of an organization. Should a Voting Member's
professional status or affiliation change, membership stays with the
individual.
Voting Members are not involved in the day to day activities of the Corporation, but
are entitled to vote at annual meetings of the members of the Corporation
Voting Members may stand for election to the
Board of Directors of the Corporation.
LIN may
also from time to time seek general advice from Voting Members concerning its
programs.
Associate Members
All individuals who subscribe to LIN's listservs
are considered to be Associate Members.
Associate
Members are entitled to receive notice of and to attend LIN's annual
meeting, but are not be entitled to vote.
There is no cost to be a member of LIN.
