Physical Literacy Environmental Assessment (PLEA) Tool: Survey

Thursday, June 29, 2017

You are invited to participate in a project to develop the Physical Literacy Environmental Assessment (PLEA) Tool. Physical literacy is your motivation, confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding to value and take responsibility for engagement in physical activities for life. In partnership with Hamilton Public Health, the Healthy Kids Community Challenge and Canadian Sport for Life, Dr. Brian Timmons (a researcher at McMaster University’s Child Health and Exercise Medicine Program) is developing a questionnaire for programs to understand how they are implementing principles of physical literacy.

This survey will take about 15-20 minutes to complete. People filling out the survey must teach, coach, lead, or supervise any child or youth physical education, sport, recreation or physical activity program.
