This framework sets out a vision, objectives and strategic directions to guide those who develop public policy, make funding decisions, offer recreation programs, or build and maintain facilities or open spaces. It is a call to action for all involved to work together in a systematic way to make affordable access to recreation a reality in Ontario.
It looks at the barriers to affordable recreation, access policies, and more, with the objectives of affordability, places to play, awareness, inclusion, capacity, collaboration, and accountability.
