Part of the 2010 Physical Activity Monitor: Getting Kids Active, both bulletins describe parents’ perceptions of the availability of facilities and programs, how well these facilities and programs meet the needs of their child, as well as their child’s use of these opportunities. Bulletin 8 describes perceptions of public facilities, Bulletin 9 of commercial facilities such as such as the YW/YMCA or other commercial facilities.
Bulletin 8 provides breakdowns by region, parents' age and sex, child's age and sex, socio-economic and demographic characteristics, and activity level and sport participation, and maps trends and changes from 2000 to 2010. Bulletin 9 provides breakdowns by age and sex, and by socio-economic and demographic characteristics.
