Regular workouts for glutes important for strength, fitness
Description
The gluteus maximus is the powerhouse for movement and performance, but extended time in a seated position causes tightening and shortening of the hip flexor muscles, which can inhibit the glutes and contribute to weakness. This forces the surrounding muscles to compensate when the glutes fail to perform. Regardless of your sport or fitness activity, you will benefit from giving your glutes a little attention in the form of a healthy workout - they can never get too strong.
