This Workbook is based on the experiences of the people and stakeholders involved in the Kamloops Women's Action Project (KWAP). It was developed as a practical guide for those working in the health and recreation field who are committed to enhancing recreation service provision for those living in poverty and for community members interested in gaining increased access to recreation opportunities.The aim of the Workbook is to assist community leaders to bring community partners together, to learn about poverty and the direct implications it has on the recreation services offered in the community, to share a success story from Kamloops, and to develop relevant and achievable.
