The primary goal of the Elder Friendly Communities Project was to develop a focussed assessment of the assets, capacities and needs of seniors and their families and to implement this in four Calgary communities. Drawing upon the insights of seniors themselves was central to the approach used. It is expected that this information will provide a foundation for further program development.
