Looking beyond the 'why' and 'how' discussion on the impact of recent municipal amalgamations, this panel turns its attention to examining the public outcomes of these amalgamations.
How have residents been impacted by the rationalization of parks and recreation services in these larger civic administrations? What about the community organizations who partner with their local recreation department and may have experienced major changes in that relationship?
A senior manager from the city of Halifax offers her perspective. The amalgamation's unique features will be discussed. Tangible examples will be presented on the impact of the amalgamation at the community level. Presentation at the 2003 CPRA/AQLM Annual Conference
