This text was written for the Sports Turf Managers Association’s 17th annual Conference and Exhibition, held in Orlando, Florida, from January 18th to the 22nd, 2006. It was put together as a discussion tool for a workshop presented by the author at this Conference and entitled “Developing a Comprehensive Master Plan to Improve Your Facilities and Reduce Field Over-Use”.
This document is not meant to be used as a checklist or a template to put together such a Master Plan. Each community, each situation warrant a specific approach intimately adapted to their particular situations. It is meant to be used as a basis for discussion and exchange of ideas and opinions, and it was written with this objective in mind. This was presented at the 2007 CPRA Conference and Trade Show
