Active Living Diversity Project

Robert Wood Johnson Foundation

Describes a project to identify the barriers to and opportunities for developing effective programs to increase physical activity in the African American, Latino and Native American communities. It concludes that healthy eating and physical activity programs for these three communities should tap into that sense of cultural identity and pride as a way to provide powerful motivations.
