Adaptation of a community health assessment...cancer prevention and screening planning and action in rural Alberta communities
Summary: Changes in social and physical environments are valuable community level outcomes as they largely shape the distribution of risk factors, health outcomes and wellness indicators. Community Health Assessments (CHAs) provide a framework to measure physical and social community environments. In doing so, they serve to provide information to define current assets, capacities, and areas for improvement that help set priorities for community action and a baseline for evaluating achievements.
