Public policy affects every part of our lives, especially at the local level. Good public policy can help create healthy, vibrant communities. Recreation and parks are central to building community health. We know all of that is true. What does it take to convince legislators? This presentation looks at how to position the importance and benefits of recreation and parks with local elected officials. It provides tools for particpants for shaping policy in your community and practical tips for engaging with elected officials.
