The purpose of this paper is two fold: first, to draw attention to the absence of fathers' roles within family leisure research using a selected review of the family leisure literature. Second, to provide a brief overview of interdisciplinary research on fathers highlighting the potential contribution of these perspectives to the study of family leisure. It ends with suggestions for future research directions. Abstract from the 10th Canadian Congress on Leisure Research.
