The City of Hamilton Neighbourhood Action Strategy and Recreation Division is working collaboratively in 10 neighbourhoods, engaging and encouraging residents to live, take pride and play in their communities. This presentation looks at how departmental collaboration is increasing partnerships, community engagement, recreation program awareness and accessibility. Presenters share a successful collaborative working model, a community engagement model and tips for building a network. Sir Wilfrid Laurier Recreation Centre, Davis Creek Community Open House and Zion Korean Church Community Development Network projects are highlighted.
