Information, research, case studies, tips and practical tools for participants to implement an energy efficiency plan for their community recreation facility infrastructure. Discusses the new Taking Action to Manage Energy (TAME) Buildings Initiative, which reports on facility energy use and matching grants for professional energy assessments and aims to spur the retrofit of municipally owned facilities to improve energy performance and save operating costs. Technical and practical presentations are included on how to begin implementing energy efficient policies, practices and technologies, as well as case studies from facility managers as to what energy efficiency implementations worked best (and some that did not work out as planned).
