Embracing Diversity at the Community Level

This presentation presents a summary of policies and approaches to diversity in the community, as well as demonstrated examples of promising practices from within the municipal, not-for-profit and private sectors. Diversity is defined not just as visible culture but also includes marginalized groups; LGBTQ community, persons with disabilities, females, persons of low income, faith community, aboriginal Canadians, newcomers, and new Canadians.
