Gender Equity Assessment Tools
Two targeted Gender Equity Assessment Tools are available to help community sport and physical activity providers, as well as sport clubs and provincial/territorial sport organizations, take action to actively engage women and girls as participants and leaders throughout their organization.
The Assessment Tools were developed as part of a CAAWS project funded by the Government of Ontario in 2013-2015. The project builds on the CAAWS publication “Actively Engaging Women and Girls: Addressing the Psycho-Social Factors”, developed as a supplement to the Canadian Sport for Life (CS4L) foundation documents. The Assessment Tools were developed by Judy Sutcliffe of The Sutcliffe Group Incorporated, a consulting firm with experience at the community, provincial and national levels of sport in Canada.
