This booklet provides practical tips for engaging inactive communities in physical activity. The ideas presented were put forward by delegates and the workshop facilitators during the workshop discussions at the BHFNC 2008 annual conference.

The booklet includes both generic tips, relevant to practitioners working across a broad range of communities and/or groups, and specific tips for engaging key target groups, such as people with disabilities, girls and young women, older adults, people with mental health issues, black and minority ethnic communities and socially deprived communities.
