This session looks at the basics of gender, sex, and diversity and underscores the challenges faced by recreation professionals when attempting to bring various under-served or marginalized individuals and groups into community offerings. Focuses on the reasons for traditional involvement patterns and the challenges for expanding the clientele across all programs. Strategies for quality monitoring and evaluation through all stages of program development and delivery are presented and shared.
