Co-presenters: Jennifer Reynolds, Parks and Recreation Ontario; and Paul Ronan, Ontario Parks Association
Public policy plays a crucial role in determining whether parks and recreation achieves its potential for good. Representatives from Parks and Recreation Ontario share the various approaches to influencing public policy they have used over the past 12 months. The president of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario reflects on the AMO priorities and discusses how they align with the parks and recreation sector. There is also some discussion of advocacy themes that could affect and influence the fall municipal elections.
