The purpose of the larger study from which this paper was taken was to measure what, if any, positive change occurred in young people as a result of their involvement in a summer camp experience offered for the duration of at least one week. This study of youth development outcomes showed that on the pre-camp testing, most campers (as well as parents, which was not reported in this abstract) rated relatively positive on all the dimensions of the outcome scales.
