International Environmental Scan of Park Asset Management Practices
Co-Presenters: Eugene Stansfield and Scott Jones
This presentation discusses a research study into park asset management best practice. The study was commissioned by the Asset Management Working Group of the Canadian Parks Council (CPC).
The objective of the study was to review asset management practices used by parks organizations
worldwide that are similar to the CPC members. The study scope included a review of current practice by CPC member organizations and comparison with international results. CPC intends to use the outcomes from this study to develop, exchange, and propose new policy direction, guidance, strategies, and approaches to infrastructure asset management that will lead to more sustainable budgets and effective program delivery.
