Kids in Sportability

Mari Caravaggio

This workshop looked at how the ‘new’ Sportability program can help children develop the basic skills they need to feel good about participating in physical activities and organized sport. Sportability is for all children, regardless of size or ability, and can successfully integrate special needs children. Participants looked at how program planning allows each child to develop multi-lateral skills at his/her own rate and how basic sport skill development is an essential component of overall development for children ages 2-9 yrs.

A presentation from the 2007 Parks and Recreation Ontario Educational Forum and Trade Show.
