Leisure Apartheid

Academy of Leisure Sciences
Thomas L. Goodale

"If a family that plays together stays together, would a community? It seems to be getting harder and harder to tell. Even if the family has not disintegrated, as many argue, it seems that community has. And community has always meant having leisure together." The author argues that economic and race segregation travel together leaving a disproportionate number of neighbourhoods of color with inadequate recreational resources.
