Co-presenters: Shanna Reid, Town of Saugeen Shores; Jason Weppler, Grey Bruce Health Unit; Community Representatives

Research supports the importance of informal activity, especially in childhood development. This presentation shows how to inspire a community to PLAY. Learn from a successful collaboration involving 17 municipalities, two counties, two school boards and a health unit—all united in the desire to create supportive environments that inspire play. Together, they recruited grassroots partners, then supported them step-by-step with education, awareness, skill building, advocacy and more.

A presentation from the 2014 Parks and Recreation Ontario Educational Forum and Trade Show.
