It reviews the factors that contribute to positive trends in children’s mental health, highlighting emerging evidence that links resiliency and recreation. It discusses new approaches being used to develop resiliency in children and introduces related training developed with Canadian Mental Health Association Ontario. It provides activities that help children learn key concepts and cope with stress, and take home strategies any program leader can use to respond to children with challenges and promote positive mental health.
