Mood Walks is a provincial program that provides training and support for community mental health organizations across the province of Ontario to launch educational walking programs for people who experience mental health issues. Mood Walks promotes both physical and mental health by reducing barriers and creating new opportunities for people to be physically active in nature. This presentation shares outcomes, resources, barriers and successes, as well as next steps and best practices from a current project, which is focused on building capacity among 40+ community organizations to support youth who are at risk of, or experiencing, mental health issues.
