Co-Presenters: Nancy Dubois, Health Promotion Consultant, and Kerry Kelly, Leisure Information Network

This presentation demonstrated the new on-line resource developed by PRO and The Leisure Information Network (LIN), integrating planning with evaluation. It reviews the overall framework and walks through the customizable planning and evaluation steps, pointing out tips, program examples and links to additional resources. This resource prompts program planners to consider such aspects as stakeholder engagement, situational assessment, goals and outcome objectives and relevant program standards. Its evaluation component helps identify the purpose and type of evaluation best suited to each program and suggests several design options for gathering the most appropriate data. Of particular interest to the recreation field, the resource integrates standards for amounts and intensity of physical activity and physical literacy for children 6 to 12 as well as older adults.
