New Yorkers for Parks

The first section of this report offers a review of academic and other literature regarding culture and park use and specifically highlights the New York City Parks Department’s efforts in reaching the foreign-born population. The second section analyzes three prominent issues in providing parks for all New Yorkers, which were identified during a series of interviews with community and parks groups. Several recommendations are offered.
