Planning Recreation Services for Smaller Communities

Dave Augustyn

Human and financial resources can seem stretched to the limit in municipalities of any size. In smaller communities, this feeling at times seems overwhelming. This presentation looks at how one community is rising to the challenge, using its strategic plan to leverage limited resources in a way that better serves the parks and recreation interests of its citizens. It looks at implementing key priorities such as providing an environment for economic prosperity, engaging residents in decision-making and enhancing the quality of life.
