Parks can make or break a neighbourhood. The most successful parks fit their surroundings and become part of daily life. This workshop compares neighbourhoods to see how the existence and design of a park can affect quality of life, looks at the recommended allotment for park space within a community, and compares that to other spaces such as urban fields. Considers creative solutions for the challenges posed by evolving urban and rural spaces.
A presentation from the 2014 Parks and Recreation Ontario Educational Forum and Trade Show.
