In these tight budget times, keeping facilities viable and current takes careful planning and attention to getting the best value for every dollar. This presentation looks at the renewal of the 24-year-old London Canada Games Aquatic Centre—and describes how partnerships achieved more for less, faster. It shares the challenges of closing the facility for six months, keeping the work on track and then opening again with a new look and feel plus energy efficient upgrades to critical mechanical and electrical systems. It also looks at the design objectives and how they were met despite a tight budget and timeframe.

A presentation from the 2015 Parks and Recreation Ontario Educational Forum and Trade Show
