Visitors to Niagara Falls can now use mobile devices to learn about specific points of interest, thanks to Operation Park-Code. The Niagara County Community College Recreation Studies Program and the New York State Parks and Historic Preservation Department co-created this interactive program, featuring 68 historically or biologically significant locations in Niagara Falls State Park. At each site, visitors are able to scan to a micro-website for a digital image and an in-depth description that can be dynamically translated into 37 languages. Describes how information was transferred using QR codes and explores the many ways this technology can be used to give visitors a dynamic educational experience.

A presentation from the 2014 Parks and Recreation Ontario Educational Forum and Trade Show.
