Born in the early 60s to the late 70s, the Nexus generation (the often misunderstood Generation X) is a sophisticated and savvy bunch. Combine them with the Velos Generation (generation Yers - those born in the late 70s and early 90s) and there are two distinct target audiences who are often employees and program participants. This presentation, at the Parks and Recreation Ontario 2002 Annual Forum, discusses the unique and important experiences that shape how these groups approach both work and play. It also provides information on how to design more effective employment and program recruitment and retention strategies for these groups.
