Value Based Project Delivery: Minimize Costs by Leveraging Expertise - Pre-conference Workshop

Jake Smithwick

Speakers: Jake Smithwick, Jeff Evenson

Provides information on how to implement value-creation tools in project delivery methods. From Tender Development through Project Close Out, these tools provide clear and concise documentation and provide transparency for positive public accountability. The tools and techniques include proponent training, selection methodologies, an innovative contract and risk management framework and performance management. The process has been rigorously tested by Arizona State University in delivering all type of projects, goods, and services including janitorial, design/construction, business services, etc. The ASU team has helped deliver over $600M of projects in Canada, with $450M Preparing for Tender. The process has also been used to administer a $20M Parks and Recreation Renewal Program (PRRP), from design and consulting, public engagement, and construction.
