Saskatchewan Interagency Committee for the Elimination of Racism from Sport and Recreation

Working Living and Playing Together (WLPT) is a provincial initiative sponsored by the Saskatchewan Committee for the Elimination of Racism from Sport and Recreation. Formed in 1995, this committee is made up of provincial and federal partners focused on providing public education on racism and its effect on people involved in sport and recreation. WLPT helps sport and recreation leaders and professionals understand how they can use their skills to build relationships between cultures. The specific cultural relationships addressed in this project are between First Nation, M├ętis and non-Aboriginal communities involved in sport and recreation. While this focus is particularly relevant in Saskatchewan, the process described in this resource can be equally applied to develop any multicultural relationship.
