Program Description

The goal of Atlantic Cirque is to introduce the arts of circus to all interested. The circus school offers its students the opportunity to develop and hone aptitudes like coordination, strength, flexibility, concentration and creativity in a structured and safe environment under the instruction and supervision of circus professionals.

At Atlantic Cirque, individuals have the opportunity to learn different circus techniques like: aerial skills (trapeze, cerceau, diamond, flying rope, silks), acrobatics, contortion, trampoline, human pyramids, handstand, juggling, unicycle, stilts walking and much more.
Starting every day at 9am until 4pm, the students will learn everything from trampoline, juggling, stilts, human pyramids, aerial apparatus (trapeze, cerceau, rope) and more. We also play camp games, watch Cirque du Soleil videos after lunch and prepare a show for the end of the week!

On Friday afternoon at 3:30pm,
parents and family are invited to our show!

Strategies For Sustainability: 

After three years of operating out of the gym at Halifax's Shambala School, Guimond is moving the region's only school of circus arts to a new location in Burnside Industrial Park.
Located at 10 Ilsley Ave, Suite 12, Guimond is excited that Atlantic Cirque will finally have its own home. The new space will mean that the school will be able to expand the courses it offers .

Impact Of Program: 

Since this school open every season there are around 300 participants that sign up for classes.She currently has about five teachers who work on contract.

The art of circus has been fascinating to nearly everyone. People of all ages are still amazed by acrobats from all over the world. Now it is your turn to explore the amazing world of circus! Starting up a circus school hasn't been without its challenges. But it has been people's misconceptions about circus arts that has been the hardest obstacle to overcome.
