Program Description

HRM Recreation and Bedford Skatepark Action Team (BSPAT)present Bedford Skateshow. The event is aimed at new and experienced skateboarders who want to show their skills or learn new ones. The HRM mobile skatepark will be set up for a freeskate followed by a demo by some of Bedford's best skateboarders. There will be a live band, DJ, canteen, raffles, and door prizes. All proceeds will go to BSPAT and the Bedford Skatepark fundraising project. This event was celebrated during National Youth Week.

Strategies For Sustainability: 

The event will raise awareness for the BSPAT skatepark initiative while providing youth skateboarders the opportunity to showcase their skills. Hopefully, through the event, we'll be able to give youth new opportunity and the ability to try something new. The event will also showcase one of the area's local youth bands.
