Program Description

As part of the New Ross Christmas Festival staff at Ross Farm Museum have put together a great program for your enjoyment. Step back in time to experience Christmas in the Country. At Rose Bank Cottage sample traditional dishes from the period such as plum pudding, sugar cookies & warm spiced cider while you enjoy some of your favorite Christmas carols .
There will be craft activities in the school house, visitor center and farm workshop, sleight rides and toboganning.

Program Approximate Cost: 

$2.00 children, under 5 free, family $15.00

There is a nice variety of activities to participate in and a group can spend a few hours to the whole day.

This event usually attracts 400-500 people and has become an annual event since 1980

Key Elements Towards Success: 

The families seem to really enjoy the home made ice cream making and experiencing life 100 years ago. The toboggan hills are excellent.

Challenges To Meet Them: 

The biggest challenge is the weather. If it is too cold the numbers drop but their has never been less that 100 people attending this event.

Length and Stage of Project: 

This project has been an annual event since1980's. It can happen several times a winter season.
