Family Adventures in Nova Scotia

Organization Sponsor: Freewheeling Adventures

Program Description

Freewheeling Adventures are active holidays for individuals and small groups, including bicycle tours, sea-kayak paddling trips, or multisport adventures. You can choose from guided, self-guided, or self-supported options and reserve your trip privately, join a group, or make special requests. You will find our service is exceptionally accommodating and our professional commitment is extraordinarily reliable.

Expect healthy, delicious meals, and inns or hotels of exceptional charm and comfort. Many of these active vacations are suitable for all abilities, thanks to attentive guides, small groups, and the reassurance of van support. While you ride your bike, paddle your kayak, do yoga, or walk along the coast, we support you with a vehicle containing varied picnics, spare equipment, and trained guides who will help you enjoy your vacation as much as is possible.

We aim to create extraordinary active holidays; to keep guests impressed with our thoughtfulness, thoroughness, and devotion to their holiday enjoyment; to encourage repeat business, and enthusiastic talk within our sphere of influence. We strive to provide a very special time for each guest, free of hassles, and full of humour. We pursue growth by providing new, unique experiences; by responding to the desires and requests of our guests; and by creating positive experiences for all involved.

Strategies For Sustainability:

Our company evolved from the dreams of two – mine, the feisty bike racer, and Philip’s, the intrepid explorer. Some Freewheeling Adventures are designed with keen cyclists in mind, and include long distances, steep terrain, and daily challenges. Others are designed to accommodate relaxed riders, or groups with varying desires. To help you choose, we use elevation profiles to represent the route, and a challenge-rating system using symbols from the skiing world. Many of you will already be familiar with it. for the non-skiers, see the explanation below.

Impact Of Program:

What Freewheeling Adventures has given you since 1987 – flexible, full-service dedication to your guided active holiday – is still the successful foundation from which we have grown an abundance of choices for you. You can now choose between guided and self-guided trips, and can benefit from our flexibility if you want us to customize a trip just for you. In Nova Scotia, Cape Breton Island, and Prince Edward Island you can also rent bicycles, canoes, and kayaks for your own adventure.
