Program Description

The provincially famous FRIGHT TRAIL will be open from 8-11 pm. The guided walk lets you experience 25 minutes of the most frightening encounters with the UNDEAD that you have ever imagined. The dimly lit trail weaves through the dense dark woods of the Mira. Along the trail, over 25 different frightful events will have you quaking with terror!
We suggest that this event is suited for mature children (we recommend ages 10 and over).On Sunday, October 25, Subway and Two Rivers Wildlife Park will hold a Family Halloween Fun Day and Pumpkin Catapult which is suited for younger children and families of all ages.

Strategies For Sustainability: 

This event requires over 200 volunteers to pull the experience off. The community loves to host it and are willing to make it a success regardless of the effort required.

Impact Of Program: 

This activity has become one of the most popular in Cape Breton. Their maximun is 1600 a night . They were sold out the first 3 nights and on the 4th night 1100 turned out inspite of the torrential downpour.

Key Elements Towards Success: 

The wilflife park is a great outdoor space to host this kind of event. It is well organized with many volunteers. A huge effort is made with regards to the theatrical aspect of this event. It is also well advertised.

Challenges To Meet Them: 

Fright Night will be held Rain or Shine. It requires many volunteers to become actors as well as setting up props and collecting costumes.

This activities began in 2001 and has become an annual event.
