Gaspereau Adventure Club

Organization Sponsor: Gaspereau District Recreation

Program Description

Activities such as Rock-climbing, hiking, biking, tree climbing, repelling and leadership skills are offered to youth over a period of time. They are able to learn a variety of new skills in a supportive and friendly environment.

In Adventure Club students will have an opportunity to test the outdoor elements as we set out into the winter world that surrounds the school and nearby area. Sledding, fort building, snow shoeing, and hot chocolate drinking will be some of the activities that students will take part in if they come out to join Adventure Club. This program is always full.

Strategies For Sustainability:

Making sure that the time that the activities are offered is suitable for the parents, proper budget management and completing quality progress reports.

Proper scheduling with the parents (to make sure the kids can make it to the activities) and offering the program free of charge.

Challenges To Meet Them:

Continual funding. Applying for more grants.
